  1. Am I doing something wrong? It's asking me to log-in to the Microsoft Exchange at Dixie.edu ...

  2. I watched and listened to your video Joy. You are so articulate! I really enjoyed the cartoons and depictions as well. We are 'cartoon' collectors and have original drawings and cels from Horton Hears a Who and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas along with some other pieces. I wasn't as familiar with Dr. Seuss as a political cartoonist. It was a very nice example for the contemporary value of a rhetorical term.

  3. This was an enjoyable and informative presentation, Joy. Political cartoons prove an excellent example of style. "A picture's worth a thousand words," right? The messages conveyed in visual formats like pictures and cartoons are often so simple, but they can spur a lot of debate and discussion on a given topic.

  4. Oh the Places you have been... You effectively covered so much ground in 11 minutes. It is amazing how the context of the cartoons adds to the discussion. I am also thinking in terms of intertextual characteristics and concerns that are so present with Dr. Suess. Very nice job Joy- though know I can't get Green Eggs and Ham out of my head...
